DNA Medcheck
DNA Medcheck
Medcheck provides insights into responsiveness to different medications and the likelihood of side effects and treatment failure. Medcheck gives insight into how a patient metabolizes, transports, and binds specific drugs, which in turn allows physicians to prescribe those medications that are most likely to prove effective while minimizing side effects.
Clinical value:
Prescribing medications according to an individual’s genetic profile will improve drug efficacy, reduce drug-associated toxicity, and enhance patient outcomes, as well as reduce money spent on ineffective medications or time spent in the hospital.
The report provides:
Detailed guidelines on gene-drug interactions, while highlighting potential side effects, increased toxicity, and lack of efficacy.
Assessment of:
71 gene variants within 17 genes that determine the metabolizing status of enzymes responsible for the metabolism of medications. The report will provide accurate and actionable recommendations for approximately 123 medications, including cardiovascular, psychiatric, and pain medications.

How does it work?
A BloodSpot Analysis test kit will be sent to you by mail. All it requires is a few drops of blood from one of your fingers. Once completed, a booking can be made with the designated courier to collect the kit (with no additional charges), which will be delivered to the laboratory for testing.
How long will it take for my order to arrive?
All test kits are shipped and are expected to arrive within a few working days. The shipped test kits are considered concluded orders and are non-refundable any longer.
Average processing time:
18-21 days, after the test kits are returned to the lab. Return tests to the lab within 90 days of the order.
How do I take a sample?
All kits include straightforward instructions, allowing you to obtain a sample at home easily.
Are the tests reliable?
Yes! We use leading accredited laboratories to ensure that our testing is of the highest quality.
What will I receive after the test has been processed?
A report will then be generated with detailed information about the tested areas and recommended interventions. The report is presented in a patient-friendly manner so you can understand the possible issues and act upon the clearly formulated recommendations. You will be provided with a secure login on the lab platforms to view and download the results.
What happens after I receive the results?
You will be presented with the option to book an appointment with the doctor to further discuss the test results. The appointment will last about 30-60 minutes (includes the time the doctor needs to study the results), during which professional interpretation, further advice, and a possible therapeutic plan, based on your results, will be provided.
Privacy policy:
The DNA and the original sample material are destroyed after 3 months, so that there are no names or other identifiers on the samples. The samples are analysed only for the SNPs that are included in the tests at DNALife, and no other research or analyses are performed without separate permission from the patient. We do not give or sell the results to any third parties.
Important note:
Send us through the Contact Form (typed in the Comment field) your birthday, as well as your weight and height. This data is a requirement for the lab analysis.
