DNA Health
DNA Health
DNA Health® tests for genetic variations that are known to have a significant effect on health and susceptibility to chronic diseases. DNA Health reports on key biological pathways that govern overall health, and helps understand how genetic weaknesses in these pathways may increase predisposition to chronic diseases of lifestyle.
Clinical value
It can be viewed as a ‘foundation to health’ test and is therefore appropriate for any individual seeking to improve their health outcomes, be it those who already suffer health complaints such as chronic fatigue, gut issues, cardiovascular disease, or insulin resistance, or those who are concerned about a family history of a chronic disease or lifestyle. The test is also valuable for those who would like to optimise health outcomes and refine their health routine with a targeted approach to diet, lifestyle, and nutraceuticals.
The report provides
The level of impact of any genetic variants identified
- An explanation of their impact on health
- Appropriate nutritional and lifestyle recommendations
The results are divided into sections of key metabolic function, so that genetic weaknesses and strengths within a functional area can be easily identified.
Assessment of
Over 35 genes are involved in key metabolic processes:
- Lipid metabolism
- Methylation
- Detoxification
- Oxidative stress
- Inflammation
- Insulin resistance
- Bone health
- Iron metabolism
- Food responsiveness, including salt, alcohol and caffeine sensitivity, bitter taste, lactose & gluten intolerance
- Vitamin metabolism

How does it work?
A BloodSpot Analyses test kit will be sent to you by mail. All it requires is a few drops of blood from one of your fingers. Once completed, a booking can be made with the designated courier to collect the kit (with no additional charges), which will be delivered to the laboratory for testing.
How long will it take for my order to arrive?
All test kits are shipped and are expected to arrive within a few working days. The shipped test kits are considered concluded orders and are non-refundable any longer.
Average processing time:
18-21 days, after the test kits are returned to the lab. Return tests to the lab within 90 days of the order.
How do I take a sample?
All kits include straightforward instructions, allowing you to obtain a sample at home easily.
Are the tests reliable?
Yes! We use leading accredited laboratories to ensure that our testing is of the highest quality.
What will I receive after the test has been processed?
A report will then be generated with detailed information about the tested areas and recommended interventions. The report is presented in a patient-friendly manner so you can understand the possible issues and act upon the clearly formulated recommendations. You will be provided with a secure login on the lab platforms to view and download the results.
What happens after I receive the results?
You will be presented with the option to book an appointment with the doctor to further discuss the test results. The appointment will last about 30-60 minutes (includes the time the doctor needs to study the results), during which professional interpretation, further advice, and a possible therapeutic plan, based on your results, will be provided.
Privacy policy:
The DNA and the original sample material are destroyed after 3 months, so that there are no names or other identifiers on the samples. The samples are analysed only for the SNPs that are included in the tests at DNALife, and no other research or analyses are performed without separate permission from the patient. We do not give or sell the results to any third parties.
